See-through 3D head-mounted display announced
Epson Japan has announced Moverio, a see-through, head-mounted 3D display, TechCrunch reports.
It creates the experience of watching 3D pictures on a virtual 80-inch display 5 meters away, while still being able to see what’s happening around you in the real world.
This is a step toward the glasses-based computing described by Charles Stross in Halting State.
